How do I get from Bali airport to Nusa Dua? Nusa Dua sits roughly 9 km south of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) and the drive — almost entirely on the Bali Mandara Toll Road — takes a reliable 15–20 minutes in any traffic condition. It is the only premium resort area in Bali where you can confidently quote a single transfer time year-round. Vehicle options range from the Toyota Avanza (4 pax) up to Innova, Alphard, Mercedes V-Class, and Mercedes S-Class — ask us for a quote. Toll fees, name-board meet, flight tracking, child seats, and bottled water are all included. The driver delivers you straight to the resort lobby — Mulia, Apurva Kempinski, St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton, and every other BTDC property is on our regular run.
About Nusa Dua and Getting There
Nusa Dua is the planned, gated luxury enclave at the southern tip of Bali, built in the 1970s as a self-contained tourism zone (the BTDC — Bali Tourism Development Corporation complex). It sits on a peninsula about nine kilometres from DPS, and the drive is the easiest in Bali because almost all of it runs on the Bali Mandara Toll Road, a six-lane causeway that floats above the bay. There is no village traffic, no scooter swarm, no Sunset Road bottleneck. You leave the airport, you cross the toll, you arrive.
This is the single biggest reason we tell first-time Bali visitors with families or older parents to consider Nusa Dua. The transfer is short, predictable, and stress-free even after an exhausting flight. The same nine kilometres to Seminyak takes 25–40 minutes; to Uluwatu, 35–50 minutes; to Ubud, 90+ minutes. Nusa Dua is on a different scale of arrival friction.
The toll road costs Rp 11,000–15,000 each way for a passenger car, and we cover that in our fixed price. The toll booth is the only stop between airport and resort. Once you exit the toll, the road sweeps past the Bali Collection mall and into the BTDC ring road, which connects every major resort: The St. Regis, Mulia, Sofitel, Grand Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, Conrad, Hilton, Westin, Apurva Kempinski, and Nusa Dua Beach Hotel.
For travellers who want the absolute fastest end-to-end arrival experience, pair this transfer with our Bali fast-track arrival service — skip immigration first, then transfer. Total time from wheels-down to checking into Mulia: roughly 35 minutes. That is genuinely impressive for a destination that takes 24 hours to fly to.

Why Pre-Book Your Transfer to Nusa Dua
Even though Nusa Dua is the closest premium area to the airport, that does not mean the airport taxi counter is the best move. The official counter quotes around Rp 250,000–400,000, and that is fair, but they are dispatching whatever vehicle is next in line — sometimes a tired Avanza with a lukewarm AC, sometimes a perfectly nice car. You do not get to pick. Many resort guests, especially those arriving at St. Regis, Apurva Kempinski, or Mulia, also want a vehicle that matches the destination. An old Toyota pulling up to the Apurva Kempinski lobby is not the welcome the trip planner had in mind.
Pre-booking gets you the vehicle you want, the price you agreed, and a driver who is briefed on your hotel, your flight, and your wait time at immigration. We track your flight automatically, so a delay does not cost you. We meet you with a name board inside the arrivals hall. The toll fees are baked into the price.
For travellers who want a more polished arrival, consider our meet and greet service (porter assistance and immigration zone meeting), the VIP assistance package (full white-glove arrival), or our VVIP handling for high-net-worth guests. Many Nusa Dua resort concierges (St. Regis, Apurva, Mulia) routinely arrange these as part of the booking.
Most resorts in Nusa Dua also offer their own airport transfer, often at $40–80, but the experience varies — some send a generic local supplier, some provide their own staff. If you are particular about vehicles or punctuality, an independent licensed concierge like ours generally outperforms hotel transport at a comparable price.
Local Tips for Nusa Dua Arrivals
The toll road is your friend. Even at 6 PM rush hour, the Bali Mandara Toll Road moves freely. There is essentially no scenario in which a Nusa Dua transfer takes more than 25 minutes. If a driver tells you traffic is bad and quotes longer, you have the wrong driver.
BTDC gates are simple but specific. The Nusa Dua complex has a single gated entry. Once inside, the resorts are arrayed along an internal ring road. Tell us the resort name; we will know the lane.
Bali Collection is your nearby everything. The mall in the centre of the BTDC complex has restaurants, a small supermarket, ATMs, and pharmacies — useful on the first night before you have ventured out.
Geger Beach is the public beach. The resort beaches are private, but Geger Beach (a 5-minute taxi from any BTDC resort) is a beautiful public stretch with cheap warungs and beach loungers.
For arrivals after 11 PM: Nusa Dua is the safest late-night arrival on the island. The toll road is well-lit, traffic is minimal, and resort security is staffed 24/7. We have done DPS to Mulia in 14 minutes at 2 AM.

Bali Airport to Nusa Dua — Common Questions
Yes. Jimbaran is geographically closer (7 km vs 9 km), but Jimbaran traffic on Jl. Uluwatu can stretch a 15-minute drive to 30 minutes. Nusa Dua, thanks to the Bali Mandara Toll Road, is the only area where you can quote a 15–20 minute transfer time with confidence regardless of time of day. For families, late arrivals, or anyone who wants the lowest-stress airport pickup, Nusa Dua is the standout choice.
Yes. The Bali Mandara Toll Road is open 24/7. Toll fees are slightly different at night but still nominal (under Rp 20,000). Lighting is good, traffic is minimal after 10 PM, and the road is patrolled. Late-night arrivals to Nusa Dua are genuinely the most relaxed transfers we run on the island.
Pricing depends on the vehicle — Avanza, Innova, Alphard, Mercedes V-Class, or Mercedes S-Class — ask us for a quote; tolls are included. The official airport taxi counter charges Rp 250,000–400,000. Hotel-arranged transfers usually run $40–80 depending on vehicle. We are competitive on price and deliver a higher-end vehicle than the airport taxi pool.
Absolutely. Many guests pre-book the return at the same time as the arrival — we lock in the price, set the pickup, and message you the morning of departure to confirm. Round-trip pricing is identical to two one-way fares (no extra discount, no extra charge). For early-morning departures, we will pick up at any hour; the only request is to confirm the night before by WhatsApp.
Yes. We deliver to every property inside the Nusa Dua/BTDC gates, plus the Tanjung Benoa peninsula (Conrad, Novotel Benoa, The Anvaya), and the Sawangan cliff cluster (Apurva Kempinski, Ritz-Carlton, Hilton). Pricing is identical across all of these because the toll-road exit is the same. If you are at a private villa in Bukit Pratama or Pandawa Cliff, the route is slightly longer (25–30 min) and a small surcharge may apply.
You can, and many people do. Hotel transfers are convenient because you can charge them to the room. The price is usually slightly higher than ours, the vehicle is sometimes a generic local supplier rather than the resort's own fleet, and the driver may not be vetted by the hotel directly. We are happy to act as the resort's preferred independent partner — many Nusa Dua concierges already book with us. Whichever you choose, just pre-arrange it; do not rely on walk-up taxis.
Beyond Nusa Dua
