What is the Indonesia eVOA and why register in advance? Who Is Eligible for Indonesia eVOA?
Indonesia's electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA) is available to passport holders from approximately 97 eligible countries, covering most of the typical Bali visitor base. The complete list is published and maintained by the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration (Imigrasi); we recommend confirming your eligibility before booking. Europe: United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and most other EU/EEA member states.
Americas: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru.
Middle East: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Turkey, Jordan.
Other: Russia, South Africa.

What You Can & Cannot Do on the Indonesia eVOA

- • Perform any paid work in Indonesia
- • Run a business or sign Indonesian commercial contracts
- • Exit and re-enter Indonesia (single-entry only)
- • Stay beyond the 60-day maximum (30 + 30 extension)
- • Convert this visa to KITAS or KITAP locally
For paid work, business operations, or stays longer than 60 days, you will need a different visa class. We recommend the B211 tourism visa (up to 180 days) or contact us for guidance on KITAS work permits.
Documents You'll Need
- 1. Passport bio data page — clear colour scan, valid for at least 6 months from your Bali entry date, with at least 2 blank pages.
- 2. Recent colour photograph — passport-style, white background, taken within the last 6 months. We accept 4×6 cm or 3×4 cm.
- 3. Return or onward flight ticket — confirmation showing you will leave Indonesia within 30 days (or 60 days if you plan to extend).
- 4. Bali accommodation details — hotel booking confirmation, villa rental agreement, or host name and full address.
- 5. Email address — your eVOA approval is delivered electronically; please provide an email you can access while travelling.
eVOA Questions Answered
The official Indonesian government eVOA fee is IDR 500,000, which is approximately USD 35 depending on the exchange rate. Standard processing is 1 business day during our office hours (Monday–Sunday, 09:00–19:00 Bali time / WITA / GMT+8). Express same-day processing is available for an additional fee — please send us a WhatsApp message before booking if you need rush handling.
We recommend applying at least 3–7 days before your flight to allow time for any document corrections. The eVOA is valid for use within 90 days of issue, so applying a week or two early is perfectly fine and gives you peace of mind heading into your travel day.
Yes. The eVOA can be extended once for an additional 30 days, giving you a total maximum stay of 60 days. Extensions must be applied for before the original 30 days expire and are processed at an Imigrasi office in Bali. We offer a separate eVOA extension service that handles the entire process so you don't need to visit the Imigrasi office in person.
Rejection is rare when documents are prepared correctly — that's why we review every application before submission. If Imigrasi rejects an application due to a documentation issue we missed, we will refund our service fee and assist you with the on-arrival VOA option at the airport. The IDR 500,000 government fee is non-refundable once submitted to the Imigrasi portal.
